Colorado in Springtime

Oh the beauty of Colorado! We have amazing snow in the winter, the most magnificent blue skies in the summer, and the yellows and golds of turning Aspen in the fall. I hope I never get used to the changing of seasons around here! Below are some pics from our backyard. Caleb insisted on a faux-hawk for the photo shoot :)

Murder Mystery Party

Last weekend we hosted another Murder Mystery Dinner. If you have never done one of these, you have got to try one! They make for a fun-filled evening with friends. This one was called "The Icicle Twist". Below are some great pics of the evening. I can't tell you "Who done it", but I was impressed that 3 of our guests guessed correctly!

Will played a top official in the Department of Defense. I was a supposed flight attendant.

Liz played a bohemian spy, and Rich was a Cuban body guard.

Janelle was a police surgeon, and Vern played a private investigator.

Katie was a 20 year old flirt (the mystery was set in 1984), and Scott was the local ski shop owner.

Backstreet Boys

It was about 5 years ago when I (Teresa) took a little vacation to England with some fellow Club Beyond Staff. We spent one very fun day in London making a little music video to the Backstreet Boys. That's right, we walked around with a little mp3 player and danced, lip synched, and videotaped ourselves doing it. My buddy Chris finally took the time to put togther the video. I laughed pretty hard when I watched it... I think you should watch it too!

I can't seem to get a direct link working properly, so you will have to follow some directions.
www.chris-o.com
Then click on Movies
Click on Not so Backstreet Boys and Girls
You might be able to run the video there, I could not and had to click on the link to watch through YouTube.

Just remember that it was 5 years ago... and for some reason I decided to "prance" outside of Buckingham Palace. Enjoy!

Take me out to the ball game!

We took Caleb to his first real baseball game this past week. Colorado Springs hosts the Sky Sox, whom are the minor league team for the Colorado Rockies. They offer $2 Tuesdays, making it a cheap family night. At first Caleb was a wee-bit upset. We had told him all day that we were going to the baseball game. In his head this meant he was going to play baseball! So when we sat down and didn't move any closer to the field, he threw a little fit! Eventually he got the idea, and was fairly happy to watch. At one point, a player tossed him a baseball. Caleb didn't understand this, as he tossed it back to the player... he REALLY wanted to play baseball. Thank goodness, another player saw fit to toss Caleb another ball, and we came home with a great souvenir!

Here is one when we first got to the game... notice the look of deep concern on his face (and the large bruise on his forehead from a fall in a parking lot earlier that day).

Almost a year ago, we took Caleb to a friend's little league baseball game. Caleb had no idea what baseball was at that point, so we spent most of our time chasing him around the grass. But, I thought these pics were so great! You can really see just how much he has grown over the past year. He no longer looks like a toddler, but like a little boy! Enjoy!

An average day in the Sage household

There are a few things you can count on seeing everyday at the Sage household. One of them is Caleb's golf swing. His golf clubs are perhaps his favorite toy in the house, and he puts them to good use daily. He can hit anything from plastic golf balls, blocks, to footballs, and legos. Now when I say he can hit... I mean he can really hit! Watch out if you are in the line of fire! While the pics below do not show his best form, they were the best we have been able to capture on film.

I know, I know, Dunkin Donuts?!? Perhaps not the best food to feed a growing toddler. Every once and awhile William will come home from a night shift with a dozen donuts. Caleb lovingly calls them "Dunkies", and he will not be thwarted in his plan to eat as many as possible.

One of Will's (and Caleb's) favorite activities is to camp out together on the living room floor. It is still too cold here to head outside, so they set up the sleeping bags, and sometimes a tent, and sleep together in front of the fireplace. It is too cute for words!
